Kimberly-Clark has developed technologies engineered to detect and alert a user or caregiver of the presence of bodily exudates in an absorbent article. These patented technologies incorporate device design, sensors and sensing methods, device and article interface, article modifications, quality and process enhancements. Quality of care may be enhanced for both children and adults by providing notice that clean products are needed. Single-patient or reusable devices may be developed based on patient use case. Sensors may operate as stand-alone devices, or, connected using various wireless protocols for nurses' station monitoring.
These technologies are only available for license in the professional or medical channels.
